- In this lesson, we're going to discuss physical security and the ways to reduce risk by reviewing our security cameras, lighting, and visitor logs, as well as securing open and confined spaces using physical security. Now, securing your organization requires that you maintain strong perimeter defenses around your building. Based on your organization, you're going to have higher or lower requirements based on the kind of work your organization performs. For example, if you work for the government or the military and you're dealing with classified information, you might want to have a large eight foot tall fence with barbed wired at the top of it surrounding your building. There might also be access control points that are guarded by guards with guns, or there may be vehicle barricades or other things to keep people away from your building unless they're properly authorized to be there.
