Connecting and configuring the printer

- [Instructor] Printers dwell on the network or they can be connected directly to one computer, where they are shared on the network. The direct connection involves a USB cable, which doesn't come with a printer. Otherwise, you plug the thing in and you're ready to print. Network printers come in both wired and wireless varieties. If wired, connect to the network cable to the printer just as you would any network device. For wireless access, use the printer's control panel to discover and connect with the wifi network. Aside from the hardware connection, printer configuration in Windows is automatic. The printer is recognized and made available almost instantly. Software drivers are installed automatically. To review available printers, open the settings app. Press the Windows I keyboard shortcut. Choose Bluetooth and devices, or devices here in Windows 10, then printers and scanners.
