Discover how easy it is to use InDesign and Photoshop together

- [Instructor] Welcome to this new exciting chapter. In the following three videos, you'll learn how to extend your image background to match your layout using the power of Photoshop and Adobe artificial intelligence. This workflow is open for beginner to pro Photoshop users, and no previous Photoshop skill or knowledge are required. In this video, you will start by discovering how to launch Photoshop without leaving InDesign. Have you ever found the perfect image to use to represent your work in your portfolio, but it isn't the right size to fit the image frame layout? We already discussed the importance of maintaining consistency when displaying your project images. And in this video you will discover how you will be able to use images which you add to discard in the past. To start, use the image I provided with this course and add it inside the project Creative Cloud libraries like we did in chapter four, video one. Then create a new frame of the same size of the other images using the frame tool as shown in chapter six, video one. As you can see, the image proportions don't match the ratio of the frame, and even if we zoom the images will be left with an empty border. Click once on the image to select the frame and then head to the properties panel and take a record of its size. In my case is 1335 by 780 pixels. And now let me show you a quick and beautiful solution for this task. We will use Photoshop, which is part of your Creative Cloud subscription. And don't worry, you do not need to have any experience with Photoshop to perform these specific edits. To start, double click on the image thumbnail inside the libraries panel, or you can also right click on it and select edit. Photoshop will launch automatically and the image document will open up. Meet me in the next video to learn how to quickly extend the background to match the image frame size. Are you ready to have some fun and learning a pro tip? Join me in the next video, I will see you there.
