- [Instructor] WCAG doesn't require bookmarks in documents, but WCAG acknowledges that adding bookmarks can improve the experience for users reading PDF files. This is found in WCAG's Success Criteria 2.4.5 Multiple Ways. It's also found in PDF Techniques for WCAG in item number PDF 2. And the PDF U/A specification indicates that bookmarks are not required, but they are in fact recommended. So for those documents, you should add bookmarks to assist users in navigating the documents. I prefer to add bookmarks to a document towards the end of the process for reasons I'm about to show you. Bookmarks are described in WCAG's Success Criterion 2.4.5. So I'm going to jump over to my Two Trees Olive Oil document, and I'm going to begin by opening up my Bookmarks panel, which is located over here on the right side of your screen.
