- [Instructor] So let's look at retaining wall footings. I'd say Revit has pretty much thought of everything. Yes, of course, there's a retaining footing. Different from the bearing footing, a retaining footing lets us specify a toe and heel length, allowing us to place it under the center of the retaining wall and to be offset from one side to another. To do this let's jump into Revit. Under Models let's go Open. Going to find 03_09_RetainingFootings. Then we'll click Open. In the project browser we could go to any level. Let's go down to Top of Footing. Can't see our site here 'cause it's not turned on, but that's okay. On the Structure tab, let's click on Wall Footing. Instead of Bearing Footing, let's click the drop down. Let's go to Retaining Footing 24 by 12 by 12. I actually want to keep these dimensions, but let's look at the type properties anyway.
