- [Instructor] Now that we have views put together, let's go on to annotating them. Don't forget, your Revit model is a database. The purpose of annotations is to extract and report information from this database for viewing. An important aspect of construction documents is that they must have clarity. All members of the team from all disciplines in the office, on site, maybe outside consultants, need to be able to read documents accurately and with no miscommunication. Errors in reading and interpreting construction documents can lead to errors and omissions in actual construction with an accompanying loss of time, money, and credibility; possibly liability and penalty issues, which may occur while identifying and rectifying the error.
