- [Speaker] One possible thing we might have to consider is what kind of device your dashboard is going to be viewed on. This is the where part of the four Ws of good dashboard design. Now knowing where your dashboard is going to be viewed is really critical because that determines how much real estate we've got to play with. If you are certain that your dashboard is only going to be used on a desktop monitor, you know you've got a pretty good idea of the sort of space you've got. It's going to be probably a widescreen monitor, it might be HD. You've got a fixed size and it's going to be the biggest view you can have. So in this dashboard, for example, it's 1000 by 700, that's going to fit comfortably on somebody's screen. However, if you're publishing to a wider audience, either within your organization or certainly externally to the general public, they might be viewing on a bigger screen, a smaller screen.
