The emotional side of pitching a project
- [Speaker] I recognize vulnerability. So when you're pitching something to people, you're putting yourself on the line here. And we have to respect the emotion that people have and their own vulnerability when they present something else. And they're not presenting it to people who are very good at what they do. So it makes them a little hesitant, even though they're very good friends. - [Host] Scary. It's got to got to be scary. - [Speaker] It is. So I start off by saying that they love all three of their ideas equally, they don't, but that's what they say. And so what we do is we've got story rooms. And story rooms are like rectangular rooms with a table in the middle, and there are two long walls that can have storyboards on them with the door at one end. And so they'll typically have story meetings in there, but for this case, it's one where they'll have the storyboards to pitch an idea with drawings and stuff on it, and maybe 20 to 30 minutes to pitch that idea and discuss it a…
