Cybersecurity certification: CPP

- The Certified Protection Professional, or CPP Certification offered by ASIS, validates your knowledge of security management principles. The exam covers seven security management domains and is similar to the CISM certification in some ways. The CPP is an advanced certification for experienced cybersecurity professionals. In order to take the exam, you need seven years of security work experience with at least three of those years being in charge of a security function, or a bachelor's degree and six years of security work experience, with at least three of those years being in charge of a security function. If you have a master's degree, the security work experience requirement goes down to five years. Topics you can expect to see on the exam include security principles and practices, business principles and practices, investigations, personnel security, physical security, information security, and crisis management.…
