How do GRC and cybersecurity interact?
- [Instructor] This is a cybersecurity accelerator series course. So you may be wondering, how does GRC relate to cybersecurity again? Don't worry, I got you. Let's talk about how GRC fits into a cybersecurity program and why it's so important. We talked previously about each of the letters in GRC and how they relate to companies and how important it is for these programs to take into account people, processes, and technology. The same can be said for cyber. Cyber programs can't be successful unless they consider the people, processes, and technology of the organization. Cyber risk is business risk, and at the heart of GRC is risk. I firmly believe you can't have a cybersecurity program without considering and implementing GRC. GRC is a subset of a larger cybersecurity program that helps inform the business and technical leaders how to operate the risk facing the company, and ensuring standards or regulations…
