- [Narrator] Well folks, it's time to talk about some of the challenges that we might face in this data collection stage. The more prepared we are for issues that might crop up, the more likely we'll identify and resolve them. So let's get into it. The biggest challenge we'll face when collecting data is the data quality. It's been a common theme so far, so you already know how important this is. Data collection can really be hampered by inaccurate data entry, duplicate records, or incomplete records. All of this can challenge the quality of our entire process. Luckily, we've already covered some ways to mitigate this with data validation and ways to identify duplicates. Another challenge is the sheer quantity of diverse data sources. Collecting data from many sources in many formats and bringing it into a process where it can all be used for one goal is not easy.
