Importance of avatar customization
- One of the defining characteristics of learning in the Metaverse is that the learner can assume any shape, body type, or form they want. Literally anything that a learner can imagine, they can become within the Metaverse. Avatars are an integral part of the Metaverse because the Metaverse is a social environment where learners can see and interact with others in a 3D space through the representation of themselves as an avatar. A person's avatar might look exactly like the person does in the physical world, or it could look quite different. Allowing the learner to take the time to craft and personalize their avatar, even in small ways, is incredibly important to the Metaverse learning experience. When new participants enter into the Metaverse as an avatar for the first time, they need time to test drive. Provide time for the learner to figure out and become comfortable with the navigational tools at their disposal.…
