Businesses and the technologies that support them are not static. They require teams of people, systems and processes to adapt to constantly changing market forces. The process of adapting processes to changing needs is known as continuous improvement. There are two important components to every system: The system itself and the people and processes that build and maintain the system. Systems require constant tending, fixes new features, and supporting concerns like security, resilience, engineering and observability. The processes used to build the system also need love and attention. They need to be updated to accommodate for new requirements, market conditions and the unrelenting pace of technological advancement. Continuous improvement is the evergreen process of process improvement.
