What are the key areas of the TOGAF standard?
- [Instructor] So how did TOGAF become the standard? Well, it was a community-driven and collaborative approach. It focused on what matters the most in lowering the overall risks in the difficult to plan phases. When you're using the TOGAF framework, it helps you respond to the needs of the business while considering both the present and the future. There are multiple components that build the standard up. Let's talk about a few of them. The first is the architecture development method, or what we refer to as the ADM. It's a set of phases that are structured in a way to help you build tight requirements, strong architecture solutions, and make sure that people don't get mad at you when you're halfway through planning. It stops you from wasting time. ADM guidelines and techniques are tools that help adapt the ADM for different scenarios.
