- [Instructor] This challenge is less about Excel and more about thinking through a problem that you can lay out in Excel to help you get some clarity. We are on a road trip and the next destination is 400 miles away. We have a full tank of gas that will take us 239 miles, so we know we need to stop. We decided that we only want to stop one time. Now the challenge is figuring out which gas stations to stop at. In column D, it shows there is a gas station eight miles away. Well, we would have to stop again. That's not going to be enough. Do we drive to hold 400 miles? No, we can't. We don't have that much gas. So the question is to think through when is the wise time to stop for gas? And there might be more than one answer.
