Using the insert edit
- In this movie, we're going to become familiar with the second major edit in final cut, which is insert. And this edit happens to be play head specific. Unlike a pen, which we took a look at in the last movie. So for this instance, I actually want to move my play head in between my first and second clip. And just notice something actually happens when you move over the edit point of a clip. That's when you transition from one to another which is called snapping. This is turned on by default over here, this little button on the top right hand corner of the timeline. And in some cases this is a very helpful button when it comes to editing 'cause it allows us to move with easier precision, all right the clip that I want to move in between these shots, fish oysters, and the family involvement happens to be the family involvement shot above that.
