- [Instructor] Cloud spending optimization requires that we establish metrics to measure how optimized our cloud spending is and create our own processes and procedures for determining what metrics are currently what they were in the past and what they will be moving forward. Metrics are key performance indicators or KPIs that allow us to measure something over time that reflects how well or not so well are cloud service's cost utilization is. Examples of metrics would include cloud spending per customer or what we're paying for cloud services and support of just a single customer. This is helpful because it's focused on the success of the business as well as cloud spending utilization.
