- [Instructor] For the majority of FinOps, you'll be dealing with complex cloud deployments, such as hybrid and multicloud. A hybrid cloud is a paired public and private cloud that provides different platforms based on the needs of the application solutions that run on them. Hybrid clouds continue to exist but are not being deployed at the same rate as multiclouds due to the declining use of private clouds. We'll still include hybrid clouds in our FinOps considerations since you may run into them. Multiclouds are found in almost 95% of the enterprises, so they are more the rule than the exception when it comes to cloud FinOps. Deploying FinOps processes and tooling for multiclouds is complex, and extremely valuable for tracking spending. It involves tracking spending across two to four different public cloud providers with different terms, different pricing, and different ways of billing for specific services.…
