- [Instructor] Another important consideration when setting up your learning environment, or creating learning resources is hearing. Is your learning accessible to someone who has a disability related to hearing? Like vision, hearing lies somewhere on a spectrum. Someone may be completely unable to hear, while others may only have partial hearing loss. So, how does this impact learning? Well, obviously, not being able to hear something is going to be a major obstacle when in meetings, listening to presentations or videos, and so on. There are some accommodations though that can be made to help improve accessibility. The first is visuals, use visuals to illustrate your text and what it is that you're saying. Also volume, make sure that your volume is high enough when creating videos, or that you're talking directly into the microphone when you're inside of meetings.
