Auto exploding Fusion 360 designs
- In Fusion 360's animation workspace, Auto Exploding designs are an efficient way to communicate product assemblies. To get started, let's make sure the automatic exploded view storyboard is selected. This will ensure all of the work is recorded in the correct timeline. With the playhead in the scratch zone, I'll also hit the Home icon next to the view cube, to ensure the model is in the home position. This is certainly not required, but I like to start new animations from the home position, so the product has a nice isometric view. Remember that moving the playhead to the scratch zone ensures our change in the camera view is not recorded as part of the animation. We'll now want to move the playhead back into the timeline. For now, we don't need to worry about the distance. This will simply ensure the Auto Explode feature creates an action in the timeline. Next, head to the transform dropdown.
