The security overview

The security overview

- If you are part of an organization that has a GitHub Advanced Security license, you get access to the security overview. Only organization admins or users with the security role will have access to this view since it contains sensitive information. The security overview can be accessed from the organization view under the Security tab. On the left, you will find the different alert types that GitHub Advanced Security can bring you; dependabot, code scanning and secret scanning alerts. You can use these to filter the available alerts. In the repositories list, you can see what the risks are per repository, which is of course higher in public repos than private or internally visible repos. To the right of each repository, you also find information about the number of each alert type. With the Show More button on top, we can get a visual overview for our entire organization.
