- [Instructor] It's always a good idea to spell and grammar check a document. Google Docs will also check for some other things. You can see them all by clicking Tools, hover your mouse over Proofread and going into Proofread Settings. In addition to spelling and grammar, it's also going to check your wording. It can check for active voice, conciseness, and even check for long sentences. You can uncheck anything that you don't want Google to search for while it's reviewing your document. To do the actual check, click Tools, Proofread again, and then choose Proofread This Document. It's going to open up on the right-hand pane, and if it finds something, you can accept or reject that change. I'll accept the spelling correction and close out of the pane by clicking the X. Something else that you might want to do is review all changes that are made to a document. You can keep track of potential changes to your document, especially when it's shared by other people.
