Turning Windows features on or off

- [Instructor] Windows is full of surprises. I don't think I've ever used all the little programs and apps that come free with this operating system. You may be surprised to know that many of these features are available, but not activated, and here is how to activate it. Start by opening the Control Panel. Tap the Windows key, or click the Start button, type Control Panel and choose the Control Panel icon. Here's the Control Panel. You want to choose Programs, and then this item, Turn Windows features on or off. If you're prompted with a User Account Control, click Yes to allow. The Windows features dialogue box lists a lot of programs and tools available to your version of Windows. Ones with the check mark are installed, the others can be installed from this window, granted most of these tools are designed for advanced users such as Hyper-V, and the PowerShell, and also the Windows subsystem for Linux.
