- [Instructor] Windows has the marvelous capability to maintain itself, which saves you time manually performing this necessary chore. A case in point is computer storage. Open a File Explorer window, press the Windows + E keyboard shortcut, and then from the items over here on the left, choose This PC. Your storage overview appears here. It's presented in this view, tiles, which is chosen automatically from this menu. Here you see an indicator showing used and available storage on the various devices attached to this computer. When the amount of storage gets precariously close to being full, this indicator turns red, an immediate visual warning for you. But you can do more with storage. Right click on Drive C, the main mass storage device, and choose the Properties command. Here you see even more details in specifics. Click the Tools tab.
