Going wireless

- [Instructor] I believe wireless computing is more of a goal than an achievement. The two items to consider are a wireless networking adapter, and a Bluetooth adapter to access wireless peripherals such as a keyboard or mouse. Bluetooth is a wireless standard for connecting peripherals. It's technology is based on the ancient RS-232 standard for the old PC serial port. This port was versatile, allowing a variety of devices to connect to a computer, including a mouse, scanner, modem, and well, even your car can be a Bluetooth peripheral. Bluetooth technology allows your computer to connect to a pantheon of interesting wireless peripherals. These include input devices such as a keyboard or mouse, headphones, monitors, and yeah, your car, though it's more likely, you'll connect your smartphone to a car than a computer.
