Naming cells

- [Instructor] All cells in a worksheet are given names based on their column and row numbers. This is cell B3 and it's used as a key value elsewhere in the sheet. So rather than reference it as cell B3, I'm going to give it a name. You click in the name box, and you type the name for the cell. Rate in this case. So to make a calculation over here in cell H6, I'm going to type a formula equals left times and the rate, and you see that the rate also appears here in the shortcut menu, which is awesome. Press Enter and there's the formula. And if you edit the cell, you still see the name cell highlighted just as before to let you know where it is. I'm going to fill the entire column with values. Now, this range can also be given a name just as a single cell, so I can call it amount.
