The difficulty of achieving an inclusive, diverse workplace
From the course: How to Be an Inclusive Leader (getAbstract Summary)
The difficulty of achieving an inclusive, diverse workplace
- [Presenter] Achieving an inclusive, diverse workplace is difficult, but important. If you are ready to devote yourself to inclusion and diversity, and to advocate for equity, you're on the right track. You may need to acknowledge that, despite your hard work, you remain somewhat in the dark about the inclusivity needs of certain groups. Don't feel bad. Everyone can learn more about fairness and equity. The inclusive leadership continuum is just that, a continuum. It represents a daily endeavor, a journey that is never linear. You can make all the difference to people in your company if you help them feel welcomed, valued, respected, and heard. Stay motivated, and don't give up or quit. If you don't act, your silence solidifies the status quo.
