- I have to say one of the best things about having your own business is that the only meetings I have to go to are the ones that I create. And if anybody's going to be boring people in meetings, it's going to be me. Wait, that didn't come out right. I hope that you found this training helpful, interesting, thought-provoking, and more than anything, time-saving. Time, it's our only nonrenewable resource. And to be respectful of other people's time and respectful of your own time is one of the greatest gifts you can give people. If you're interested in finding out more about meetings and how to run them, I might suggest one of Simon Sinek's books, "Start with Why: How Great Leaders "Inspire Everyone to Take Action," although most of his books are terrific. If you're interested in having meetings that are more participatory, consider my friend, Sam Kaner's book, a "Facilitator's Guide to Participatory Decision-Making."…
