When to make a marketing plan
- [Narrator] "Better three hours too soon than a minute too late", once said, William Shakespeare. Timing is everything. No marketing plan is complete without first thoroughly considering the timing. This consideration includes when key brand or company activities take place, when our general global milestones happening, and perhaps even do we have enough quarterly budget left over to create a marketing plan? Let's begin by thinking about key brand milestones for the year. Take a moment and list out any big launches or internal news. Next, think about any relevant yearly or season activities, such as, ugly sweater day or the winter holiday season. Make sure you include the timeframe and general timeframe for each. Are any of these recurring? Once you've laid out the important dates and timeframes, you can begin to think what marketing and content activities would make the most sense to support any launches or key times.…
