- Welcome to our final pillar, Communal. You've almost made it to the end of our pillar pit stop. To begin building your learning community, start with yourself or whoever is facilitating the course. Post a welcome and introduction. Start with your goals and vision for the learning experience along with personal stories, like the number of times you've gone skydiving or your favorite karaoke song. This gives your learners a chance to get to know you and models how they can share, which immediately creates openness and safety in the learning space. Next, use activity tools that enables learners to engage with each other. By encouraging connections either online or in the classroom, a new dynamic starts emerging. Here are two.
