- [Anne-Marie] Hi, it's Anne-Marie for InDesign Tips for Design Geeks. Now let's talk about an object style for your text frames. Not the crazy highly formatted text frames that you usually think of, like say captions and sidebars and little notes, but your main text frames. Why not use it for those, too? So let's review how you create an object style for a text frame, and then I'll show you why you might want to use it for your main text frames throughout your publications. I'm going to zoom in a bit here and switch to normal view. So here's an example of an object style that has been applied to this text frame called info_box. So if I just double click in here, and then select all, copy it and bring it out onto the paste board without any formatting, that's what it would look like.
