- [Instructor] I've been surprised many times by how much the way you work with SMEs on their deadlines affects their ability to meet those deadlines. The difference between putting a calendar reminder on their schedule versus an email that tells them their due dates can sometimes be the difference between they forget and blow it off or they get their information turned in early. Let's go through some tips for managing your deliverables so your project stays on track. The key to running a schedule in deliverables is speaking a common language of communication. If your SME tracks their to-dos in email, do it in email with bolded due dates. If they need a phone call reminder, provide phone check-ins regularly to stay in touch. I've worked with a SME for years who doesn't respond to my emails but will always answer a call. Some SMEs use task tracking apps or have a preference for collaborating in a tool like Microsoft…
