Generative AI is now a part of our world and it can be used to explore ideas very quickly. It's great for sparking them and sometimes can generate design options that may not have occurred otherwise. It's fantastic for rapid ideation and also for planning that makes it easier to brief photographers or illustrators. It's like having a supercharged assistant that can quickly create variations and help with repetitive tasks. Already in applications like Photoshop, things like background removal can be achieved in moments rather than minutes or even hours. And object removal is done almost in a blink. On the downside, relying on too much AI could stifle designers creativity and lead to homogenized work that lacks any form of personal touch. There are also ethical concerns around originality, authorship and ownership too. We need to strike a balance between AI assistance and human creativity.
