Choose roles in Fabric
- From what we have seen so far, there are many different items that can be created that can reside in a Fabric workspace. Each item is used for its own specific purposes. Having all these types of items under your fingertips all the time can be a bit overwhelming. For that reason, Fabric allows you to select the primary role through which you want to interact with the platform. You select a role from the role selector at the bottom left of the screen. Here you will find the only colored icon in the left-hand pane, apart from the green home icon, that is. When you are a Power BI user, selecting the Power BI role will navigate to a familiar location, the Power BI Home Page. Here you find recommended Power BI items, as well as a list of recent items, favorited items, apps, and things from other tenants that are available to you. No doubt on the Power BI Home Page, you will only see the Power BI artifacts that you already know and love. No other Fabric items are shown here. These home…
