- Welcome to Lesson 6: Manage data with Fabric Lakehouse. In the previous lesson, you have learned how to work with the data warehouse in Fabric. While a warehouse is a schema-first data solution, the Fabric platform as a whole suggests to work in a data-first way. Lakehouse is a solution to do that, allowing for storing any data you have and transforming the data into the structure you need for a particular purpose later. In this lesson, we will take a closer look at the Fabric Lakehouse. We will start by finding out how to set up a lakehouse, which is really not a big deal, as you will see. And once we have some tables with data in the lakehouse, we will query the SQL Analytics Endpoint that comes with the lakehouse, and we will create reports with the default lakehouse semantic model. We will close off to create a custom semantic model on lakehouse data, which will be a good preparation for the next lesson. So let's get started.
