Recording an audio file
- [Instructor] Recording and audio file in Audition is super straightforward, but the first thing you need to do is check what your input device is. Now, I'm on macOS here, so I'm going to click on the Application menu and choose Settings and Audio Hardware. On Windows, this would be under the Edit menu, and rather than Settings, it'd be under Preferences. But either way, it comes up with this Preferences dialogue and the Preferences dialogue gives you all of the various different preferences for the application. And we're looking at audio hardware, and we're going to choose our input. Now when we're working on multi-track sessions, which allows you to record multiple inputs all at once, perhaps if you're recording a band, for example, you'll use a different interface to choose a different input for each of the tracks. Maybe one input will be the lead guitar, one will be the drums, and so on. But we're just going to use the default input here to record a voiceover. So I'm happy with…
