- This chapter aimed to broaden your perspective beyond Bitcoin. The challenge now is to take the reins in your own hands to look at the world of cryptocurrency, tokens and investing. Start with a web search for the phrase all cryptocurrencies to get a list. Now I've been using coinmarketcap.com throughout this course try a different one just for fun. These are almost always listed in order of market capitalization. That is the total value of all coins if they were sold for American dollars at the current rate. Pick one from near the top of the list and start your research. For that cryptocurrency, try to answer these questions. What's its origin story? How old is it? Do we know who the founder is? Was a company or organization behind it? And if so, what influence do they exert on the cryptocurrency now? How does its network stay secure?
