- [Instructor] One advantage of a learning management system is the ability to store and organize your files online. You can store documents, images, videos and more and then share them with students or attach them to assignments and quizzes. Canvas allows for an online file library. And another advantage that this provides is that because they're stored within Canvas on the internet, you can act access these files whenever you have an internet connection. There are three types of files in Canvas. There are personal files, course files and group files. The personal files can be accessed by going to the global navigation bar and clicking on Account. From here, I can select Files and I can see all the files that I can access here. At the top, I have My Files, which are my personal files.
