In addition to protecting other people's email addresses when you're going to forward something out, you can also protect their privacy on social networks, like Instagram and Facebook. For example, take this Instagram post about an event. I can mention Audrey here, saying, "I can't wait to go to this concert with Audrey tonight." Because I'm directly tagging and mentioning her, it's going to show up on her Facebook timeline. Every single person that she's friends with or that follows her will know exactly when and where she's going to be, because, without her permission, I've just told everybody. So think about the next time you're going to tag somebody for a particular event. Even if you're just giving a friendly tag, such as, "Having coffee with so and so at so and so," make sure to get their permission first. I'm going to minimize this and bring up a photo.
