- [Instructor] You may be wondering, "What exactly is Elementor?" Elementor is one of the most popular page building plugins for WordPress. Page builders like Elementor make it super easy for coders and non coders alike to create any WordPress website they want. Elementor replaces the basic WordPress editor with a live front end editor. It also allows you to easily add all sorts of features using a drag and drop interface. This plugin helps you to create beautiful pages, complex layouts and design your website in real time using the visual editor. Even though I am proficient in code, I like to use Elementor because it is fast and it allows you to incorporate features pretty effortlessly. Instead of spending extensive time researching and trying out various plug-ins for this solution or that feature, you get a one stop plugin that allows you to use all of these nifty widgets and templates and allows you to focus on getting the website built in a very efficient manner. Once you understand the basics, Elementor is intuitive and user friendly. Elementor is an effective tool for building anything from entire websites to specific landing pages. You can design dynamic sections, interactive components, full webpage layouts, and best of all they're responsive right out of the box. If you can imagine it, this plugin can help you to design it. With Elementor getting started is easy. It's straightforward. It does not require a complete understanding of coding and various programming languages. Once you have Elementor installed as a plugin on your WordPress website, you can begin editing and making live changes to your website immediately. Elementor works with many of the most popular themes out there but I prefer to use the minimal Hello Theme, which allows you to create a fully custom WordPress website. Traditionally, this has been very challenging and requires knowledge of code like PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, but you are in luck today, my friends, because thanks to Elementor we can just get down to designing and building out our websites. Elementor has a few different options. There's a free plugin which is what we'll be using in this course. And in addition, you can extend the core plugin by upgrading to Elementor Pro. By starting out with a free version you will learn how to use Elementor and also become familiar with this powerful and versatile plugin. Let's get into using Elementor.
