Adding to and subtracting from a mask
- [Instructor] When you're creating a mask so you can edit part of a photo, the initial mask may not be perfect. That's okay, because you can add to, or subtract from, any mask. Let's see how to do that. Earlier in this course, we used the Auto button in the Edit controls to automatically make some adjustments to the entire image. Now I'd like to supplement those by making some color adjustments to only the church in the foreground. So what I'd like to do is use a mask to select that church. To do that, I'll go over to the Masking icon in the bar on the right, and then I'll choose the method that I want to use to try to select that church. Select Subject is so quick and easy, it's worth a try. So I'll click Select Subject. The red overlay indicates what Lightroom thinks is the predominant subject in this image, and you can see that Lightroom has selected not only this church in the foreground, but also these…
