Duplicating and inverting a mask

- [Instructor] Adobe is constantly improving the masking features in Lightroom. One of those improvements is the ability to duplicate and invert a mask. This is really a time saver when you want to add different masks to different parts of a photo. So in this case, I'd like to brighten up the subject a little bit, and I also want to change the color of the background around him. I'll use Duplicate and Invert to save time creating multiple masks as I do this. So I'll start by clicking the masking icon in the bar on the right, and this time I'm going to choose Select Subject, but you can use the Duplicate and Invert feature with any of these methods. It comes in really handy, for example, when you're selecting a sky, making changes there, and then you want to invert the mask to make different changes to the foreground. But I'm clicking Select Subject in this case, and that automatically makes a mask over the subject…
