Improving perspective
- [Instructor] Sometimes buildings or walls or other objects in a photo can look distorted depending upon the angle of view at which you photograph them and the lens that you used. You can fix distortion and perspective problems in Lightroom using the controls in the geometry panel. With your edit controls activated, go down to the geometry panel and click the arrow there to open geometry. At the top of the geometry panel are a set of upright controls. The controls under the line are automatic, so I usually start there. And these are all just different formulas for trying to straighten up your photo and fix prospective problems. Auto is usually the best choice, but I'll often check the other choices as well, and each one works differently on different photos. So level focuses on correcting problems that are horizontal, vertical, issues that are vertical. In other words, if a building looks like it's leaning too far…
