- [Instructor] Client agent installation has been tricky for Configuration Manager over the various different versions over the last two decades. And Microsoft has created multiple different ways that we can push out this agent to our clients as well as member servers. Before Configuration Manager can manage a computer or server, we need to push an agent out to be installed on the clients. We can use the client push installation to install Configuration Manager software on computers that Configuration Manager has discovered. So besides client push installation, we have software update installation. Then you can use installation using Group Policy assuming that your computers are on-premises as well as members of Active Directory. Another option is manual installation. That's where you copy all the installation files or you have a share setup from the Configuration Manager server. And just run the setup.exe file. You can choose a login script.
