- [Instructor] In previous versions of Configuration Manager, such as Endpoint Configuration Manager, and System Center Configuration Manager of previous versions, there was an additional step you needed to take in order for Active Directory to be prepared to use Configuration Manager in the forest and domain. However, in the current branch, you no longer need to do that. However, you should go in and just double check that it is there. So I'm in my domain controller and I'm going to ADSI edit where I can directly edit Active Directory. Now you want to be in the default naming context that you see here. If you don't see that, you can just right click, choose, connect to, and just make sure that you're in the default naming context and then you would click okay. Now, after you're in the default naming context, expand and go to where it says system. Inside system, you have to make sure there's a container called system management.
