(modular synth sound) - [Instructor] I'm going to plug over to the master output. And the master output actually looks at the output of the sine wave after it's gone through this right hand section. There's this wave shaping section. There's three main controls here. Timbre, which is a wave folder that takes the peaks and the values of the waveform, and folds them back on itself. A knob which basically changes the symmetry from low harmonics to high harmonics, and from even harmonics to odd harmonics. Let's play around with those. The timbre control, I'll turn it on so you can hear it, adds harmonics to our more or less sine or triangle short width. You see the harmonics grow on the spectrograph display as the waveform changes. The waveform keeps being origami folded back on itself. (modular synth notes) That's a lot of fun to modulate, and indeed. I'm going to go ahead and add our second envelope generator into this mix.
