- All right now, I want to jump to one of my favorite types of devices. The flanger. Flangers are really fun for a lot of reasons. They can give you the lush stereo effects similar to a chorus, but the feedback tends to be a lot of fun to play with. And flare is sort of NI's flanger on steroids. So flanging used to, have to do a slowing down one tape machine that was playing next to another one. Someone allegedly sat on a tape machine and slowed it down and went, Oh my God! That sounds interesting. And a flange is a component in the tape machine that you would want to slow down to create flanging. Thus, we have flanging and fast forward through a bunch of other details and we get to flare. Flare does that sort of tape machine stuff really well. But we have a lot of other features that sort of mimic a synthesis engine almost. There's kind of a very high level of control and the feedback is really cool because we also…
