- [Instructor] In this video, we will introduce database blocks. A database can store lots of information which can be displayed in different ways. And a great way to understand what a database can do is start with a pretty simple list and build up from there. I'm going to start at the bottom of the page. I'm going to insert a new block. I'll type the slash key and then I'll type in database so we can see the database block options. Scrolling through here, you can see many of them are labeled as views. I'm going to start with the list view. And when you make a database, you can start from an existing set of data or a preset template. Now some of these options may pull from existing lists you have on other pages or they might just come from templates built into notion. These can be nice for shortcuts but it will help us understand if we start a new database and build our own list. So I'm going to choose new database…
