Fix a disturbed solder joint
- One not so common problem when learning to solder is what's called a disturbed joint. Now, the disturbed joint happens when you have too much movement as you're soldering. So if you're soldering something on a table or you're trying to hold something, or you shake it, that joint can get disturbed. And as the metal is forming, it doesn't form properly, and you get a lot of cragly kind of surfaces. It's not smooth. Sometimes there's not even a proper connection. Truth be told, it was very hard for me to make a disturbed joint here. I had to really shake it to get a good demo. And you can see that when I move this wire, it's even not really connected. And that's really dangerous for your circuit. Could cause all sorts of problems. Fortunately, the fix is really easy. This is one of the circumstances where you really have to add more solder flux. I love these pens, but you can also use a paste or a liquid. And then…
