Why Sam became a manager

Why Sam became a manager
- So I started off as a data scientist myself. And during this whole time, I really enjoyed different aspects of it. I think everyone can say when they complete like a programming project and get results, it's exciting, but that wasn't really what excited me. The biggest part that really influenced me wanting to become a manager was wanting to see people succeed and setting them up for that success, but also wanting to get out of the programming side myself. There's people that are so good at the technical work, and I'm not bad at it, but there's a lot of people that are way better at it than I am. And so what I wanted to do was be able to work between these really technical folks and the business and be able to bring them together and say, okay, here's what the business needs. You're really good at what you do. Let me help translate this back and then help them get to the point of coming up with the insights.
